The Coast is Queer

Presented by New Writing South and the Marlborough Theatre, The Coast Is Queer is a radical new festival for Brighton featuring some of the best LGBTQ+ literature.

We are bringing together writers, performers, academics, activists and readers for a weekend of events, workshops, panel discussions and performances to celebrate queer lives and writing.

Speakers include Juno Dawson (Margot & Me), C N Lester (Trans Like Me), Patrick Gale (Take Nothing With You), Eley Williams (Attrib. & Other Stories), Niven Govinden (This Brutal House), Emma Frankland (None Of Us Is Yet A Robot), Fox & Owl, (The Trans Teen Survival Guide), Kate Davies (In At The Deep End), Dean Atta (Black Flamingo), Sharan Dhaliwal (Editor, Burnt Roti), and Maria Jastrzebska (The True Story of Cowboy Hat & Ingenue) and Seni Seneviratne (Unknown Soldier).
