Tears in the Fence Workshop Group

These workshops offer more intense writing experiences for published poets wishing to develop to a more advanced writing level and to interact with other poets that wish to experiment and move beyond the mundane.

The workshops are structured as follows:

09:30-10:00 Refreshments of tea or coffee (Included in the price)

10:00-12:30 (approx) A short talk on the workshop’s theme given by Editor in Chief David Caddy, followed by a period of reflection and writing. The group then reads from the writing they have just created.

12:30 – 13:30 (approx) A pub lunch (not included in the price)

13:30 – 15:30 Workshopping. The group has the opportunity to bring in 1-2 poems for the group’s critical analysis.

The emphasis will be on strategies to develop both reading and writing skills built upon tradition and experiment through the history of modern poetry.
