9th October 2019 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Free

Free Playwriting Workshop: Structure Chris Foxon of the multi-award-winning Papatango Theatre Company will lead this session on structuring plays, exploring how to shape theatrical stories with rhythm and narrative control. Papatango run free opportunities to launch new playwrights, who have gone on to win BAFTA, OffWestEnd, Royal National Theatre and Alfred Fagon awards. New plays developed or produced by Papatango have premiered worldwide and in the West End. Their book Being A Playwright: A Career Guide for Writers has been called “a bible for playwrights” (Steve Waters, playwright and UEA lecturer in Creative Writing) and “an excellent tool for playwrights” (Indhu Rubasingham, artistic director of Kiln Theatre).

The session is free, and anyone with mobility needs or in need of financial assistance can apply to Papatango for bursaries to cover travel costs. Anyone with specific access needs can also request support. Please book a space on Eventbrite and then email participate@papatango.co.uk if you have any such requests; please bear in mind that the more notice we have, the more likely it is that we will be able to make the arrangements.
