11th December 2019 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Free Playwriting Workshop: Dialogue and Subtext Writing natural dialogue which grips an audience and builds tension through implication and subtext is at the heart of good playwriting. Join the multi-award-winning Papatango’s Chris Foxon to explore dialogue and subtext. Papatango run free opportunities to launch new playwrights, who have gone on to win BAFTA, OffWestEnd, Royal National Theatre and Alfred Fagon awards. New plays developed or produced by Papatango have premiered worldwide and in the West End. Their book Being A Playwright: A Career Guide for Writers has been called “a bible for playwrights” (Steve Waters, playwright and UEA lecturer in Creative Writing) and “an excellent tool for playwrights” (Indhu Rubasingham, artistic director of Kiln Theatre).

The session is free, and anyone with mobility needs or in need of financial assistance can apply to Papatango for bursaries to cover travel costs. Anyone with specific access needs can also request support.
