Delving into the Dark Side – What Crime Writers Need to Know About Research, with Sue Walker

4th April 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm

£30

This half-day workshop is for emerging writers of crime fiction. You may want to start that crime novel or already be writing one. The session will focus on the benefits that effective research can bring to your writing. Why is research important? What do I need to know? Why do I need to know it? How do I go about it? The workshop will demonstrate how effective research can enhance all aspects of your writing, including: plotting, character development, location/setting and so much more. As well as offering useful tools for research, this workshop will involve *practical research and writing exercises, to inspire your future work.

A limited number of bursary places are available for this workshop for writers who cannot afford the full price. Please email hello@newwritingsouth.com for details.
