SUMMARY:The Ninth Cross: Local author J. Karst in the bookshop
DESCRIPTION:Local author Jana Little who writes under the name J. Kast will be in the Hungerford Bookshop to tell us about her new novel The Ninth Cross which was inspired by true events.\nNot all murderers die and rot in the grave: some weave their ghostly ruin through the ages. In the UK\, young brides are dropping dead at the altar\, and only one man can put an end to it: retired detective Vava Terberk from the Czech Republic. He has been waiting for this moment\, and now he is on the hunt.\nJoin us for a glass of wine as the author tells us about writing the book and signs copies.

SUMMARY:Little Book Jamboree
DESCRIPTION:To celebrate World Book Day earlier in the week we are holding a day of events and activities for children.\nWe’ll have a book hunt throughout the town\, a children’s book swap (a great opportunity to refresh their book shelves for free)\, activities in the library/hub and authors reading from their books – see below for timetable.\nWe are encouraging children to wear their World Book Day costumes (because once is never enough for dressing up) and they will of course be able to swap their WBD vouchers for the special £1 books which will be on display in the bookshop. \nVarious age groups per event between 5 – 12.
