SUMMARY:Spark Young Writers Summer School
DESCRIPTION:Come and join us on Monday 22nd – Friday 26th July for five days of writing\, performing\, playing with words\, meeting other young (and not-so-young) writers and learn to be the writer you want to be. The Spark Summer School is run by poet Liz Berry and poet and writer Paul McDonald. \nWe’ll dabble in lots of different types of writing\, from poetry to radio plays to flash fiction to wordplay\, and we’ll finish the week with a special performance for your friends and family.

DESCRIPTION:Explore the darker reaches of the human experience from your notebook or laptop: join us for a one-day workshop which subverts the “normal” and uncovers other worlds\, other realities and alternative stories. \nThe course will explore what dark fiction is\, as well as discussing the best writing and publishing in the genre at the moment. \nYou’ll gain practical information about the genre and the process of writing alternative fiction\, in short or full length fiction form. You’ll be advised on plot\, vocabulary and how to avoid clichés. You’ll also gain valuable advice on what to do with your writing\, and how to submit it for publication.
