SUMMARY:Hounslow Action for Youth Writing and Performance Workshops
DESCRIPTION:Hounslow Action for Youth are delivering FREE creative writing and performance workshops for young women aged 13-18\, taking place at Feltham Library on Mondays from 4.30pm-5.30pm (starting from 8th April). \nThe workshops will be delivered by some of the UK’s best-selling and award-winning women writers\, such as Mona Arshi\, who won the Forward Collection for best poetry collection in 2015. \nWritings will be published in an anthology. Publishing will be overseen by Richard Skinner\, the Fiction Director of the renowned Faber Academy who have taught some of the UK’s best-selling writers. \nWe are also providing a rare opportunity for undergraduates and postgraduates in creative writing or similar disciplines to volunteer at the workshops\, where they will provide 1:1 mentor support to young women \, engage with award winning writers and contribute to the anthology. \nThe project is supported by the Mayor of London Young Londoners Fund and endorsed by MP Seema Malhotra.
