21st September 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm
A small group of young people aged 15 to 19 have the opportunity to find out how a Literature Festival works.
Learn how to:
– present events

– look at a book in preparation for an author event
– discuss what questions a good event host might ask an author. You will also be given the chance to introduce an event during Birmingham Literature Festival 2019, and interview an author on stage if you wish. This short course would suit young lovers of creative writing, future festival programmers, event managers, journalists and the curious. You must be aged 15 to 19 on 6 October 2019.
The course will be run by broadcaster and writer Rachel New, and Jonathan Davidson , Chief Executive of Writing West Midlands.
