Creative Writing Inspired by Archives
2nd May 2019 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
In 2019 we are marking the 200th anniversary of the Peterloo massacre with a new creative writing project. Develop your own creative responses to a wonderful range of relevant original archive material. Read the congratulations to magistrate William Hulton for his decisive actions on the day of the protest, alongside the arguments of “Orator” Henry Hunt who the crowd had gathered to hear. All abilities welcome. The series of 6 workshops will be led by Dr Naomi Kruger, Lecturer in Creative Writing at the University of Central Lancashire.
Free but advanced booking required.
